Volunteer Waiver, Release of Liability, and Media Consent

As a participant in Rake Up Boise™ (the “Event”), organized by NeighborWorks® Boise, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
   I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and estate, hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless NeighborWorks® Boise, its directors, officers, employees, agents, sponsors, volunteers, and all other persons or entities involved with this event ("Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, suits, liabilities, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees), whether known or unknown, arising out of or in connection with my participation in, or travel to/from, the Event—whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK:
   I understand that participation in this event may involve physical activity, outdoor conditions, the use of tools or equipment, and other inherent risks. I knowingly and voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risk of injury, illness, or damage that may occur as a result of my participation.
3. MEDICAL CARE AND INSURANCE:
   I certify that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in this event. I hereby give consent and authority to NWB to obtain medical treatment on my behalf if I am injured or require medical attention in this event. I understand and agree that I am solely responsible for all costs related to such medical treatment, medical transportation, and/or evacuation. I hereby release, forever discharge, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claim whatsoever in connection with such treatment or other medical services.
4. MEDIA CONSENT:
   I understand and agree that I may be photographed, videotaped, and/or audio recorded by NWB during the Event. I hereby grant NWB and its partners and sponsors all right, title, and interest to use such photographs, video, and audio recordings of me for any lawful purpose, including promotional and fundraising use, in any media, without restriction or compensation. I irrevocably release the Released Parties from any claims arising out of such use.
5. GOVERNING LAW AND SEVERABILITY:
   This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Idaho. If any portion of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
6. MINOR VOLUNTEERS: 
   If a volunteer is under 18 years of age at the time of the Event, the minor volunteer and the minor's parent or legal guardian must each sign a Volunteer Waiver, Release of Liability, and Media Consent.
7. PARENT/GUARDAIN CONSENT FOR MINOR VOLUNTEERS (where applicable):
   I hereby acknowledge that I am the parent or legal guardian of a minor volunteer or volunteer(s). I have the legal right to consent to and, by signing below, I hereby consent in all respects to the terms of this Volunteer Waiver, Release of Liability, and Media Consent. I authorize NeighborWorks® Boise to obtain medical treatment for such minor(s) and release it from liability in accordance with Section 3 of this document.
